Nes Mburu, seja bem-vindo a GRVE! Para começarmos, gostaríamos de saber como e quando se iniciou sua jornada no Afro House?
É ótimo estar aqui. Eu canto desde sempre, mas há dois anos percebi que tinha um talento especial quando se tratava de cantar música afro house. Digamos que o gênero fala diretamente comigo e sempre achei muito fácil vibrar e fluir com ele.
Você tem acumulado números e posições expressivas no Beatport, o que esses números dizem pra você?
Como dizem, os números não mentem, estou fazendo algo certo e não pretendo parar tão cedo. Que Deus me ajude.
Como se deu o relacionamento com Danidane & Lüca Veron na composição de “Wimbo”? Nos conte um pouco sobre o processo criativo com a faixa.
Então, depois de algumas reuniões com ambos, pedi que me enviassem as faixas em que queriam que eu participasse e imediatamente me envolvi nisso. Eu simplesmente sabia que faríamos algo especial, e fiquei muito feliz por eles terem me dado toda a liberdade criativa.
Como você enxerga o boom mundial que tem levado o Afro House e a cultura africana para locais antes inalcançáveis pela música eletrônica?
Sinceramente, fico feliz que o afrohouse e a África em geral estejam sendo reconhecidos e apreciados por suas contribuições musicais.
Tocar para multidões ou compor e cantar no estúdio? Como você concilia as diferentes emoções nestes campos e o que você tira de inspiração da sua vida cotidiana para se conectar com o público?
A maioria das minhas músicas gira em torno do tema Cantar, Dançar e Amar. Todos nós já dançamos, todos nós já cantamos e todos nós já amamos, então, para ser honesto, minhas emoções vêm diretamente de nossas experiências cotidianas, portanto, é fácil conciliar os três.
Você já firmou parcerias com grandes nomes como Alex Wann, Touzani, entre outros. Qual seria o feat dos sonhos com um nome com o qual ainda não trabalhou?
A galera do Keinemusik, para começar. Tenho visto clipes deles tocando minhas músicas em seus eventos e espero que em breve também trabalhemos em algo. Já trabalhei com muitos dos meus sonhos/nomes brilhantes e, por enquanto, vou deixar vocês adivinhando porque, honestamente, minhas próximas colaborações são pura grandeza.
Quais são os planos para novos lançamentos e apresentações neste segundo semestre de 2024?
Nes Mburu: Fazer músicas mais impactantes e, com sorte, começar a fazer turnês e encontrar meus fãs pessoalmente.

We interviewed Nes Mburu to find out a little more about his current moment and his new release on Adesso:
Nes Mburu, welcome to GRVE! To begin with, we’d like to know how and when your journey into Afro House began?
Great to be here, so I have been singing all my life but two years back I noticed that I had a nitch when it came to singing afrohouse music, let’s just say that the genre speaks directly to me and I always find it so easy to vibe and flow with and since then I am really greatful for the love I am receiving from all my fans globally.
You’ve accumulated some impressive numbers and positions on Beatport, what do these numbers tell you?
As they say, numbers don’t lie, I am doing something right and I ain’t planning to stop anytime soon. So help me God.
How did the relationship with Danidane & Lüca Veron come about in the composition of “Wimbo”? Tell us a bit about the creative process with the track.
So after some few conference calls with both, I asked them to send me the tracks they wanted me on and immediately I gave them my ear OMG I just knew that we were going to make something special, so greatful that they gave me the full creative freedom.
How do you see the worldwide boom that has taken Afro House and African culture to places previously unreachable by electronic music?
Am honestly glad that afrohouse and Africa at large is being recognized and appreciated for its musical contributions, to be honest once you go afro there’s no turning back.
Playing to crowds or composing and singing in the studio? How do you reconcile the different emotions in these fields and what do you draw inspiration from in your daily life to connect with your audience?
Most of my songs revolve around the Singing, Dancing and Love Topic, we’ve all danced, we’ve all sung and we’ve all loved, so to be honest my emotions come directly out of our day to day experiences thus easy to reconcile the three
You’ve already teamed up with big names like Alex Wann, Touzani and others. What would be your dream feat with a name you haven’t worked with yet?
Keinemusic crew for starters been seeing clips of them playing my songs in their events and hopefully we will soon also work on something, I have worked with so many of my Dream / brilliant names and for now I’ll just leave you guys guessing coz honestly my upcoming collabs are pure greatness
What are the plans for new releases and performances in the second half of 2024?
Make more impactful music and hopefully start touring and meeting my fans face to face
